 Had a happy day today! I was supposed to have a shift starting at noon, but it got cancelled so I had to take the day off. I had time to meet up with Henni, have a coffee and a small lunch and chat and take some pictures. She has her own blog, go check it out here.

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

So I spent the weekend celebrating my 20th birthday. We went to Hard Rock Café and I had booked a hotel room for me and my boyfriend for the weekend to make it a bit more special :) Was such a nice and relaxing weekend. I went shopping on Saturday and got myself a couple of presents -  THE Zara jacket and a stripey knit from COS. My first buy from COS! I love the store but have never really found anything worth the money as the items are a bit too quirky to spend that much money on... I think you should only splurge on items that you know for sure that you'll wear a lot and on basics such as an LBD or a genuine leather bag/shoes etc. Maybe basic, simple knitwear and blouses and jeans are fine to splurge on too. I just happen to like so many things that I want to buy a lot of different clothes instead of spending on a few classics :D You'll get an outfit post about the weekend too :)

I don't know what to tell ya, I'm not a future teller

So, I had the exam today. The subject in most of the excercises was ICE HOCKEY. I bloody hate it.
The first two texts were OK but the last one definitely wasn't - I mean, what the fuck do I have to say about Mikael Granlund? Couldn't care less. Well, I had to try. Luckily I've already succeeded in Finnish so that it doesn't matter if this one doesn't go well, I just won't get any higher scores.
After the exam I went for a nice coffee + cake with Paloma and had a chat <3 nbsp="nbsp" nice.="nice." p="p" s="s" she="she" so="so">
And, after all this meaningless bla bla bla, this is what I wore. An aubergine blazer, my very favourite floral pants, Jeffrey Campbell's and a fringed clutch.

Had a great day at work today, the best so far. Got to do the stuff I REALLY want to do!  Felt energetic even though I've caught a cold somehow :( So I am feeling pretty crap right now. I was supposed to have the rest of the week off, but I took extra shifts (I don't know why, especially now that I am feeling ill). I also have my Finnish matriculation exam on Friday, as I wanted to re-do it ( trying to get an L). Well, maybe I should study for that exam instead of sitting here.

Midsummer & what happens after

 So there. My midsummer's outfit was this asymmetric turquoise skirt with a white top and gold accessories. A bit of a goddess-like look, and that's also what my sister said! My midsummer was quite relaxed, I spent it alone with my boyfriend. We ate, watched a movie, drank, spent some quality time together, went for a late-night swim and talked until the sun came up. Could've been worse, right?:)

Today I saw a very good friend of mine in town and had a nice time ! Spent a bit too much money though... We had halloumi salads, wandered around the shops and went on emptying our bank accounts... I decided to try and control my spending because I'm having a few days off in Amsterdam next week. I still bought one of my favourite perfumes, Viva la Juicy, and some dry shampoo, cause I've wanted to try it for a while now. Does it really come in handy?

Feels weird opening up about all this but I think it might be about time making my blog a bit more me and a little less 'all business'. Of course this is a fashion blog and always will be, but I'm not going to be just as strict about the content anymore as I just to be. Anyway, what I was meant to say was that I've been having a very good time lately and feels like I've got some unusually great people around me and the most amazing boyfriend who I love to bits. I am grateful to all these people and wanted to share some positivity to my dear readers :) So here are some little happy moments I've had lately that I hope also make you smile.
